NEW ORLEONS.- Stephen Curry contributed 26 points and 11 assists for the Golden State Warriors to claim their first win of the season, by forcing the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday 134-123.
Draymond Green added 16 points, 17 rebounds and 10 assists for the Warriors, against pelicans who lacked three injured starters, including Zion Williamson, the first overall draft pick.
D'Angelo Russell added 24 points, while Damion Lee finished with 23 for Golden State, which had the lead from start to finish.
A 5:07-minute green tray to play gave the Warriors the 128-99 lead, before the Pelicans tried to make the scoring a little more dignified.
Brandon Ingram totaled 27 points and 10 rebounds for New Orleans, who had not lost any of his first three duels for a difference greater than three units, but which was crushed at home by Curry and company.
