Santo Domingo, RD.- The Judo Naco Club won 32 medals, 11 of which were gold, to head the standings of the 2019 Judo Naco International Cup in which more than 400 athletes saw action.
The 32 presets of the NaqueƱos added 195 points to be above the AƱasco Club, of Puerto Rico, which totaled 65 points and the Association of San Juan de la Maguana that obtained 53 goals in the general standings.
In the pre-child and Benjamin division, the capital club won six gold, seven silver and two bronze medals to finish first with 110 points, followed by AƱasco with 42 points and TavƔrez Judo Club with 39.
In the children's category the leaders were the judocas of the Association of MarĆa Trinidad SĆ”nchez who obtained 39 points thanks to three golds and three bronzes, followed by Naco who was made with 35 points and the National House Judo Club that added 27.
In junior and adult cadets, the NaqueƱos dominated widely with 50 points, the result of four gold and two silver medals. In second place came the judocas of Santo Domingo Oeste with 10 points, as did those of Barahona.
The gold medalists of Club de Judo Naco were Alejandro Lora, Ćngel Serulle, Gael Reyes, Carlos PĆ©rez, Kevin and Nicole Simó, in Benjamin and pre-children; Manuel Simó, in children, and Axel del Castillo, IvĆ”n Medos, Eduardo GuzmĆ”n and Carlos ViƱals, in junior and adult cadets.
The Cup, which was held at the facilities of the social entity in the National District, served as a match for the selected Quequeyan who will participate in the November Pan American Children's Championship in Guadalajara, Mexico.
In the event, athletes from Puerto Rico participated in the clubs AƱasco, Olympic Shelter, Aguado, Carolina Sports School, Nuevo Horizonte Project, Vaquero Judo Club and Cabo Rojo Judo Elite
Judo associations from the Azua, Barahona, Bayaguana, Bonao, Duarte, La Romana, La Vega, San Cristóbal, San Juan, San Pedro de MacorĆs, MarĆa Trinidad SĆ”nchez, Santiago, Santo Domingo, Valverde, Pedernales provinces were also represented. Puerto Plata, Santiago RodrĆguez and San JosĆ© de Ocoa.
