LeBron James, evacuated from emergency from Fires in California 2019

Lakers star Lebron James had to vacate his loss in Los Angeles on Monday in the face of the threat of wildfires that are ravaged these days by California, which have forced nearly 180,000 people to leave their homes.

James reported on his Twitter account that he had to "evacuate emergency" his home this past morning with his family and that the Los Angeles fires "are no joke."

On a night he called "crazy," the three-time NBA champion struggled to find a place to spend the night and toured much of the city in search of rooms to stay in. "I pray for all the families in the area who have been affected by these fires. Please get safe as soon as possible," the athlete said.

James had words of thanks for firefighting firefighters fighting the flames in the area, where on Monday local police issued a mandatory evacuation due to fire moving fast in the vicinity of the Getty Center.

The fire, named Getty because of the proximity of the famous Angelmuseum, is "very dynamic" due to the boost given by the "strong winds" prevailing in the area, the Los Angeles Fire Department said on Monday. In this area alone, mandatory evacuation affects more than 10,000 structures (both residential and commercial) and the flames have forced a local road to close.

The Lakers player spent $23 million buying a mansion in the Brentwood neighborhood, located in the area near the evacuations and where he already owned another property.
