U.S. lower house formalizes process for Trump impeachment 2019

The resolution authorizes the Intelligence Committee to make its hearings public
The Democratic-majority U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday passed a resolution formalizing the process of opening a impeachment to US President Donald Trump by allowing public hearings and giving More Power to Republicans in the investigation against the representative.

By 232 votes in favor and 196 against, the lower house pulled out a text marking a roadmap, though not a calendar, to continue an investigation that has so far been conducted behind closed doors and under rules set by the Democratic majority.

The resolution authorizes the Intelligence Committee to make its hearings public and prepare a report for the Judiciary Committee to decide whether to draft articles for a political trial against Trump, which would be held in the Senate, where Republicans have a narrow majority.
